The question is, how is it being used?
If CMOS logic chips are being used as logic
chips, then there is probably no trouble - but if they are 
being used in some unorthodox way, say as part of
a cheap VCA, then undocumented differences between
manufacturers might catch you out.

The ETI4600 required a particular brand of CMOS chip
for example.
