Screen print transfer (gravure transfer printing works almost the same)
uses an intermediate surface (e.g. a metal sheet) to screen print on.
The still-wet paint is then transfered to the workpiece using a soft
elastic (often silicone) stamp. The advantage is that you can much
easier print on workpieces that aren't completely flat, which would
create problems with the durability of the screen (edge damage) or
would outright be impossible to print with screen. Also, any jagged
edges from the screen holes are usually gone by the time you transfer
the print. It is not an effective method for one-offs as it takes
quite a while to set up and a few throwaway pieces to work the stamp
in. A good screen printer has long finished the first piece before
everything works with print transfer. But for larger series it is
great, because it is more easily automated and can be run for hours
without much supervision and you get to check the print for faults
before it ruins the workpiece.

Again, I'd prefer a sliding tray or a shelf mount. The way you seem to
want to mount it you'd need a second person to get the case into and
out of the rack.
