I will propably annoy some Serge purists here but the mechanics of
nearly all Serges I have seen is pure Sh!t!
This is how i solved it: (scroll down)

You can use any scrap aluminium rail och L-profile, mine are from a
scrapped greenhouse.

There are two alu rails that the serge pcb's are mounted between.

anyone know how to identify this alu rail and where it can be ordered?

i remember reading or being told these where choosen because they were
cheap and came from refrigerators or some other scrap utility source
and
i've noticed in some of my early '73 panels that the original
assembler
didn't even bother to cut the material, but rather bent or sheared it
to some approximate length.

i'll be sure to take some pictures and share with the group once i'm
through this ordeal.
