I'm not so keen either, but the JP6 does the unison thing very well.
1. By using the keyboard split mode, you can have either 6, 4 or 2 voice
unison modes. Thus reducing the number of VCOs to 12, 8 or 4. You can
balance out the second VCO to off and get the number of VCOs down to 6,
4 or 2 as well.
2. It has a true solo mode whereby only one voice can be heard. And that
the same EGs and VCOs are used. So you don't have to have retrigger the
ADSRs, and the glides are more predictable.
3. It has a unison detune knob - which goes from almost in tune to full
on 'teh phattest tarnce supersaw' sound. ;-)
Damn shame about its naff sounding filter though. One of these days I'll
get around to replacing it with something a bit nicer.
