Based on this data sheet from Loctite, I don't think acetone is going to 
do much - the product has 90% strength after 5000 hours in acetone.

The data sheet makes reference to a Loctite solvent.  Perhaps there is 
some hope there.

How deeply did the loctite penetrate? Did it just bead on top of the 
slug to the wall of the coil?  If the viscosity of the product is high, 
it may not have wicked between the slug and the wall of the coil.  Have 
you tried mechanical removal with a sharp tool like a dental pick?
