You've probably done this already, but I had an EPS original model that came
back to life at least twice after going mad, by re-seating all the socketed
chips in their (cheap looking) chip beds. It was a tip from an EPS service
guy, way back when they actually had a service department (!) in Putney,
London....
just my 2 pence worth ;-)
