I'm pretty happy with both the 16mm and 12mm metal shaft Alpha pots
from Mouser. The 12mm pots are about $2.16 each, but they feel nice
and are a reasonable alternative to much more expensive pots. Also, I
think there's a price break ($1.60 ea) when you buy more than 10
pieces.
