Like I said, this is in the UK (http://www.rapidonline.com/). You won't
find their export terms very agreeable, but I did hear a rumour that
Andre Majorel was considering a group buy of these pots from Rapid. If
it does happen I think it will happen fairly soon ... Andre?
One thing though: the Alpha pots that Rapid sell have rather long
shafts, so when panel mounting and using the normal push fit knobs they
sit a bit proud of the panel (about 5mm between panel and base of
knob). You can get these same pots with shorter shafts but Rapid don't
sell them. Cutting them off is possible, but time consuming - the
shafts are metal.
I'm not sure there is a 'standard' size for modules. 16mm is what many
Eurorack format manufacturers use. Ultimately it is the usability that
restricts how close you can place them to each other rather than the
actual pot size.
