Why dont you use the MN3007? Its a 512-stage-BBD instead the 182 stages of the 
MN3006. You'd need only two of them, as in the original schematics are two 
512-stage BBDs of the SAD1024 (which I could not get) used.
Maybe I make a little Website about the stuff, thought anyway about that.
