My 5 cent!
Cliff dont manufacture many/most of the things they have,
its made in Asia. For instance all the switches in the pdf file
you linked to is Chinese *standard* jacks, i have at least 5
different manufacturers (6 with cliff) of these very same jacks.

Isnt it the opposite?

I have been using JOY36A (the nut variant otherwhise exactly the same)
nerly 30 years, still going strong, these takes any strange european and
japanese
and even the very old round head 3,5 plugg, When the silver vears off the
contact
plate one just tinn the plate. I never had one that failed and the feeling is
good.
And they are dirt cheap, and there is plenty of other suppliers of these,
whats a bit corny is the nut.
I have also used S6/BB and there is two major problems, the PC legs
are to short (2,5mm )to pass trought standard FR4 PCB thickness and
it dosent take japanes styled plugs well, they feels very loose when inserted.
As mentioned below by Seb.
