you're probably right... to avoid raw digital distortion
more sophisticated processing should be considered...
why not some predictive things, like : if more than 50%
of the last n samples values are less than the last sample
value, then add the average value of the last n samples
to the last sample, otherwise subtract this value to the
last value...
you get the picture... this is an open contest for the
craziest ideas...
