I'm not sure if Tom plans to extend the code to do this, however by
coincidence I have the PIC ASM code to read pots from ADC, store presets
in EEPROM via SPI and display the parameters on a small 16x2 LCD. It
wraps a real SSM2056 .....

Maybe we can marry these 2 code streams and RMC's MIDI and have an open
source set of PIC based modules....

Many thanks for Tom for sharing the code, it has some great ideas.
