 I'm beginning to think that I got a bum batch of 331.

I got a bad roll of Kester 331 myself. The issue was not soldering, it was 
washing the flux off (it doesn't wash off hardly at all). I did notice the bad 
roll was made in Canada (??!?) not in the US or Mexico which is where it's has 
been for 15 years or so.

At first I thought my customers were seeing things but it did trace it down to 1 
bad roll. This was 3 months ago. I got a roll last week from Digikey that was 
fine.
