well quite frankly he was the first american organ builder who came to
mind. i didn't even know about his organs until i was driving back here
from Scottsbluff NE and decided to dip down from I-80 into Hebron (eh i
was just curious what the town was like), i cut east on a state road
and shot back up another state road to I-80 near Lincoln NE. i passed a
building that said "Bedient Organ Factory" and thought "crap. it's
11am. i should stop here."

one of the builders gave me a tour of the factory and showed me how
tracker systems work etc. they had an organ on the floor which was a 2
manual tracker they had just rebuilt. it was about 150 years old. he
even let me play it. i'd never played a tracker before, it was quite an
interesting experience.
