[sdiy] stupid ebers-moll question

Hi kids, i'm trying to learn how to use the Ebers-Moll
equation and i have a problem. The Is parameter. I
can't find it anywhere, i know now (after hours of
googling) that it's based on Js * A which in turns
didn't help me either since none of them are specified
anywhere either.... :) I'm starting to think that this
is one of those things you've gotta measure yourself
"per-transistor" so i'm guessing my question *might*
be "what's a good aproximation of Is for your
run-of-the-mill transistor?". I don't even know what
i'm asking....
