So, I thought about that this morning too. Then I had another idea because
I thought I had seen some parts surplus...
Has anyone played with resistive LCD overlays for making touchscreens? Not
the capacitive ones but the resistive ones.
Basically you'd have a flat joystick that could tell when you were holding
its handle and could be started from any point. You could use the X axis
for pitch bend and the Y axis for say Filter. Make it so it can be "CS80"
style where your fingers first landing location was the centerpoint.
Drawback is you'll only have 10" max movement, and I cant find any of the
stupid things surplus right now at the usual suspects.
