K. I've just completed the PCB including 2 of the 3080 based 2 pole
multi-VCF from the Electronotes ENS-76 series.
JUST before I headed down to the basement to Ferric Chloride the
board, I'd flipped the Electronotes page over to see if I missed
anything - and noticed a comment about adding Linear FM to the
transistor pair.
Now - I built one of these filters in my old machine back in the 90's
and absolutely LOVE the sound of it. (Building 2, this time - and
each as 1V/octave with matched 2N3906's and SMT 1k tempcos (using a
pair to make 2K).
But - I haven't the slightest CLUE, what Linear FM to a Filter sounds
like - especially one with LP, BP and HP outputs. Does anyone know of
any site around, that has samples of this effect?? :) (I love using
Lin FM on VCOs and am much looking forward to it (later today I hope),
to see what it sounds like. :) :)
Thanks for any possible help. :) (I'm going to check the original
source of the filter in EN#37, to see if I can post it. If it's
Bernie, I'll ask for his permission, to post it to my webpage.)
I'm curious as well as to how it'll sound, as I've subbed all of the
LM307's in it, with an LF353 and TL071s. (Thinking the original 307
that I'd built, may be dirtier? Please do correct me, if I'm thinking
wrong, there.)
