So, I've been kinda pondering the anadigm chips a little and it comes to
mind that maybe we've been thinking about them in the wrong way.

Sure, you could implement a crapp vco/vcf in one and make a simple synth but
perhaps thats not the right mindset...

Reading over the specs on even the simplest unit it should be possible to
implement, say, Envelope generators as an example. How about an octal
sample and hold in a single chip?

I dont think this is the right technology ( yet ) to try and create a VCO or
VCF chip, but I think its well within reach to make, say, an SSM2056 clone.
I also think a CEM5508 clone would be within reach and perhaps the 5530 in
some of the larger chips.

Anyhow, just a 3am thought. I think maybe the Anadigm stuff is worth a more
serious look but for narrower applications.
