Yup they were buiding funny little beasts those years. Notelt's page of
course has all the essentials. I had forgotten there was a reset
routine on the thing as I've never had to use it. Might soon
though..one coming in the mail to try to give new life for a friend.
The chroma polaris is one of the worst I think..the Siel DK600 just has
a few hidden functions but..talk about "funk" tions....hehe. You have
to for instance enter patch number 95 before you can save sounds. The
Polaris ...you have to add the numbers with lights on between 1 and 6 to
get the midi channel :-). I..kid you not. 1+4+5= I'm on channel 10!
The six-trak is great in that you can get a DOS editor that actually
works on notelt's site too. Snag that and devote a 10 dollar PC to it
