Now - I'm going on 10+ year old data, from when I was working in
electronics distribution / wholesale, but from my years of experience
there, THEN (early to mid 90's), Fluke meters (for the road - 80
series) completely blew away the Beckmans, in accuracies. The Fluke
83 which I'd bought in '92 and had tested in '96, was 0.999% accurate
on every scale except resistance, which was 0.998% accurate. ;)
If I remember correctly, the tightest spec. we had on any of the
Beckman's that we carried then was about 0.25%.
Speaking with hundreds of customers over the years and gaining their
experiences ...... helped me stick with Fluke. :)
(Til now anyways. Recently came to bad taste with them, when wishing
to get my 83 serivced. :( Poor thing is almost dead. Guess I
shouldn't have stored it on top of a heating ventilation pipe, for
about a year. :O )
About 10 days ago, at one of my local suppliers, I picked up a Fluke
8000A bench meter for $20 Cdn. :) Works wonderfully. :) Nice to be
able read a display again! Haha. ;)
Hey Harry! Lissou...... leesewjus ....... them funky patterns!
HARRY??? How do I do that on my scope? :O I've got 2 single trace
scopes. Is it possible with one of them? (A B&K and a Leader). I
have 2 probes now, if that'd help. ?? :)
I'd like to learn that tuning trick! :O :) :)
