[sdiy] vco wave shap problem

I finally got a working scope today and was checking out my VCO's.  The ramp out of my CGS VCO is not right.  instead of a ramp shape /|/|/|/| I get |-\|-\|-\.  Sorry, thats the best I can do, but its supposed to show a wave going stright up, has a flat top, and then a down ramp.  The flat top is fairly long, too. 
Anyone know what could be causing this?
