I disagree, sorry..
The only people this law benefits are the large corperations.

For example, the shelf life of lead free boards is very very poor.
Open a pack of 25 PCBs to build one for a customer and the other 24 begin 
deteriating, and after 6 months are next to useless.
So unless you have a high volume turner, you're on a looser there.

Add the fact that most component manufacturers have seen this as a chance to 
do two things
1) Raise the cost of their parts for no good reason
2) Drop any part that is selling less than one million a month.

FWIW, I beleive the WEE and RoHS is the death of the small, electronics, 
'cottage' industry.
