Things are looking up. "All" we have to do is find a
victim^Wvolunteer in the US to order the lot, dispatch half of it
to other Westpondians and send me the rest for dispatch to the
Eastpondians. The interesting part is going to be figuring out who
owes how much of which shipping costs.
I'll set up a database with price breaks and everything and I'll
post a summary here. You'll have to be patient because I'll be
very busy with pre-RoHS purchases until July. Besides, I'm not in
a hurry.
Here are the potentially interesting AD references I can think of.
Feel free to suggest others.
AD AD712JN Op amp dual biFET prec lowco HS DIP8 Pb 1+$2.46 25+$1.96 100+$1.84
AD AD712KN Op amp dual biFET prec lowco HS DIP8 Pb 1+$5.51 25+$4.41 100+$3.68
AD AD744JN Op amp sngl FET inp prec, 500ns DIP8 Pb 1+$4.68 25+$3.54 1000+$2.24
AD AD797AN Op amp sngl low dist low noise DIP8 Pb 1+$7.88 25+$6.59 100+$5.03
High-end op amps for headphone amps, high-end audio... The AD712
is used in the PolyDAC and included in Laurie Biddulph's
PolyDAC Special Components Kit.
AD AD633JN Mul DIP8 Pb 1+$6.47 25+$5.41
Ring mods. Frequency shifters ?
AD AD8300AN DAC 12b serial DIP8 1+$9.06 25+$7.58 100+$5.78
Used in the PolyDAC (and included in the PolyDAC Special
Components Kit).
AD SSM2164P VCA quad low cost DIP16 Pb 1+$5.35 25+$4.48 100+$3.41
VCA and other applications like, I think, the upcoming Thomas
Henry super gizmo. Charlie Lamm sells some with his quad VCA PCB
but has a limited supply.
AD SSM2210P Trans dual NPN matched DIP8 Pb 1+$3.88 25+$3.25 100+$2.48 1000+$2.24
AD SSM2220P Trans dual PNP matched DIP8 Pb 1+$4.74 25+$3.97 100+$3.03 1000+$2.73
Many things including VCOs and VCFs. The MOTM-440 needs 9. :-) I
think you can substitute the LM394 for the SSM2210 but I'm not
aware of a cheap substitute for the SSM2220.
