Most likely. Useless noise can be very useful in my music but just the 
addition of some more interesting basic waves might help the instrument.

You are probably right. I also imagine most of this units synthesis is 
purely software based.

Now this sounds like a project for me! If, and I mean IF, this machines 
hardware architecture follows that of other early digital synths, I might be 
able to tap out the individual voices. I owned a FZ-1 for many years and it 
had all of it's voices avalable to jacks on the back. Adding this same 
functionality to the CZ-1 would offer many interesting possibilities. In 
addition to VCFs and such it could be fun to have the voices ring mod each 
other.

I am searching for the schemo now. I hope I won't have to pay for it!
