Absolutely, except it's better than flash, the device is RAM based so it doesn't
wear out.  In fact, each time you power it up, it's essentially a blank device that
has to be programmed.  And yes, if you want a completely different synth
architecture, it just requires different code.  It seems to me that code sharing
could make this a rather ubiquitous and varied sounding device.  Monosynth of high
complexity, or polysynth, drum synth, filter bank, DSP effects box, etc.
