hi all,
how about some more flexible analog applause?
the 909, 808, cr-8000, and tama techstar claps are all very similar:
filtered noise through a VCA controlled by a decay envelope (reverb) mixed
with same filtered noise through a VCA controlled by a quadruple AD envelope
(clap impulses).
what i'm wondering is, is the timing of these envelopes determined by a
single common RC network? i don't know enough to suss out how the circuit's
working.
i'd like to be able to control the timing with a single pot, for tighter or
looser claps.
description and schem of the 909 clap are here:
http://hardware.freepage.de/raf909/ (click on circuit analysis, then
handclap).
anyone?
thanks for any insight,
greg
