If you, like me, etched a Clangora board 3 years ago when the article came
out and are just now getting around to finishing it, I wanna give you a
heads-up on something.
The board parts placement in the magazine article has some mistakes. Sofar
they are cosmetic and parts-stuffing issues, but they've cause me no end of
headache so I'm mentioning them.
Basically, the parts numbering scheme is wrong. Some of the parts mounted
off-board have the numbers of parts that are on-board, so as you go to stuff
them you cant find them anywhere. For the last couple nights I've been
stuffing by seeing what holes werent filled and then tracing the part on the
schematic. Well, if you go to archive.org and dig around the old
midwest-analog site you'll find a parts placement sheet that is actually
correct.
