I use a 4pin CB microphone connector.

Why this one?  Its cheap ( $3ea at radio shack, $1 or so online ).  Readily
available ( multiple online sources and every radioshack in the country ).
Its metal and well made ( I had trouble with the AMP cheap circular
connectors getting killed, plus they werent really cheap ).  I dont use it 
anywhere else ( I havent had a CB in 15 years ).

I agonized over connectors for a while before choosing these.
