Yes, this is good advice for dub .. again you are encouraging more of a 
sine wave sound (like a bass guitar).  Make sure the filter frequency is 
set to track in tune with the notes, perhaps also add a falling envelope 
to the filter frequency.

(But I don't think this will work very  well with the 303 filter)
