Well, it'll require a battery with more cells, but it will have the same
power requirement (higher voltage but less current, that's why they are
doing it), plate surface area will be approximately the same so I doubt they
will require more lead.
Although 4x number of cells means 4x the chance of a cell failing thus much
shorter life.

Car batteries. The materials of which are approaching 100% recycled as it

And they're talking about switching away from 12V to a 42V (?) system?
That's going to need a lot more battery for each car...
