he he "a dead tree version"... never heard that before... I like it...
Besides sparing (a few )trees, a downloadable electronic version would
also save gas on transportation and therefore avoid some global warming
(if that makes any sense to US citizens whose successive governments keep
ignoring the Kyoto protocol)...
since SDIY is an international list, orders might come from worldwide,
and that makes sense...
and again, think about the time saved on packing, queueing at the post
office... especially if you're not planing to make any benefit on this
activity...
You might need to invest in some Adobe software to copy-protect your pdf
files, but you can easily recover that expense by raising the price of each
book by $0.50 or $1.00 (depending on how many copies you're planing to
sell). Anyway, that will remain much cheaper for buyers than adding postal
fees... for instance I recently ordered H. Chamberlain's book from
BrightBoy
and it (almost) killed me to have to add $20 (45% of the book price) for
shipping...
I guess Electronotes could also benefit from an electronic version...
AFAIK there are online solutions for splitting money between sellers... so
may
be Electronotes could be sold on the same website...
