[sdiy] SSM2164 or THAT2180 as current switch in triangle core VCO?

That's a sawtooth core using the SSM2164 as basically just the expo 
converter - that answers fmy first question, which is its expo conversion 
solid enought to base a VCO off of...

...so, the next fun thing to try would be to use it as a current switch as 
well in a triangle core.
