[sdiy] ring ? balance? 4 quadrant ?

so - essentialy - typical applications would be:
1 quadrant = CV multiplier (CV controlled CV attenuator)
2 quadrant = VCA (CV controlled audio attenuator)
4 quadrant = ringmod (audio controlled audio attenuator)

is that right?
