My first reaction was "No, this shouldn't be easy to program!" It's just
that Forth has a "made for techies" reputation.

But actually, the Forth approach would be to build a library of functions to
support the functions of the particular device, is that right? So, you
basically develop a custom programming language. Something like that could
actually be easier for novice programmers to use than a general purpose
language like BASIC.

I'm not sure if my understanding of Forth is correct, I haven't looked at it
in a long, long time.
