I did what I would call my life time buy of transistors.

500 of each of 2N5088, 2N5089, 2N3904 and 2N3906. When I did the buy I
looked at a 100 but then for the cost of 150 I could buy 500. Some parts you
get a good price break on quantity others you don't.

Need to keep in mind that one transistor is not going to suit all needs. For
example the 2N50XX are high gain, low noise, low current. To me those are
for audio. 2N390X are lower gain and higher current. Use these for general
purpose stuff like CV, LED drivers, switching.

In some cases you find you'll need even lower gain. There I have the 2N2222
and 2N2907. I built a Ken Stone/Cat Girl Synthacon filter and tried the
2N5088/2N5089 as the output amp. Didn't work because of to much gain and I
am to lazy to figure out how to make it work.

Hello All,
recently Ive been taking a break from larger projects
to experement with the simple stuff. I was going to
place an order and am wondering which pnp I should get
a load of. I like the 2n5088 for npn. but whats your
