No it doesn't sound like a battery problem to me either. But, if you do
have the original battery in there, its worth swapping it for a new one,
because they do leak and that could cause some horrible and weird behaviour.
The Ugly Mod cures a power up reset issue that does effect the patch
storage in the NV Ram. However, I would guess that this has already been
done on your machine as it was found very early on I believe.

I like the sound of the MM, but I also like the sound the Prophet 10.
The two would complement each other very well.
There is also something very solid in the Prophet that the badly built
and designed MM hasn't got. The Prophet is a joy to work on, the
Memorymoog is living hell. The 'plus' variant with Kenton interface
takes this hell to another level.
I think its a very good trade though and if I had the space and money I
would take the Prophet 10.
