Hmmm. A linear PS for a PC. That'd be one hot box. The switchers 
typically used in PCs are pretty efficient and they still get toasty. 
Considering that the efficiency you'd get from one of those Power One 5V 
5A linears is about 45% (per their datasheet), a nominal 350W PC supply 
is going to be throwing off another 400W or so.

Folks who are really into quiet PCs usually go to big heatsinks and 
large fans running slowly to move the maximum amount of air with low 
noise. You can find a whole lot of resources on the web about these 
techniques if you search on 'Quiet PC'.
