When AD discontinued the SSM2017 (about 5 years ago) it was a major pain - 
they disappeared from the distribution chain really quickly and I had a mic 
preamp in production that needed them.

Burr-Brown/TI were out of the blocks really quick with the INA217, which I 
can report from personal experience is a perfect drop-in replacement.

THAT Corp, who are lovely but small, MEANT to be quick out of the blocks but 
for various reasons took 3-4 years to get their part out. I'm sure it's 
super, but haven't tried it.

One thing not yet mentioned is that AD realised their mistake and hurriedly 
launched the surprisingly familiar looking SSM2019:

So there's plenty of choice!
