hi all,

is it possible to use a spst switch as an spdt switch by soldering the
middle wire to both poles of the spst switch?

i'm putting ray's soundlab synth into another case, a synth housing
case that came with switches and pots. the number of switches and pots
match perfect, but i totally forgot that some of the switches needed
are spdt's, and these all seem to be spst's. since they are push in
switches attached in blocks of 4, it's not easy to simply put in
another switch.. so i was wondering if this was a possible way to save
me having to completely redrill the front panel..

i figured the spdt connects the middle wire to either one on the ends,
so it would technically do the same if i connect the middle wire to
both ends.. am i right?

thanks!

ruud
