[sdiy] Creating PDF files from TIFFs

I wouldn't think a set of images inside a PDF would be much better than 
a set of raw TIFF files (provided the TIFF files are saved using LZW 
compression).

PDF files support vector (as well as bitmap) formats which is why they 
are potentially good for schematics, however if you create a TIFF first 
from your schematic software then you're not going to easily get back to 
vector format.
