This can happen with good ol' lead solder too, under the right conditions.
A few weeks ago, one of my employees discovered this for himself. He was
repairing an old TRON pcb that had suffered some battery damage. He had
scrubbed it with Coke and washed it with water, and was tinning the traces
when I heard him yell "ow!" He caught a blob of solder on his eyelid, just
ABOVE the lashes. Another millimeter higher and it would have hit his
eyeball. Talk about lucky...

Afterwards, I told him, "I guess I won't have to warn you about wearing
safety goggles when you solder any more, will I?" Damned if the very next
week I didn't catch him soldering without them again. Doh!
