There are all sorts of tricks possible. In high-end DSP systems I've 
implemented phase and amplitude dithering, as well as noise shaping. The 
trouble with these is that they usually take computational horsepower 
that the PSoC just doesn't have - it's a lowly 8-bit, 2MIPS processor 
with some interesting peripherals hanging off of it.

This is an interesting idea though and I'll mull it over some. Who knows 
what oddball things are possible with the leftover processor cycles I've 
got...
