Great ideas. The PSoC has a UART available, so MIDI might be doable. The 
big problem is that the M8C processor in the PSoC is just about maxed 
out with just 1 oscillator. For anything more complex you would be 
better off with a more powerful platform (ARM, DSP, AVR, etc).
