[sdiy] Option 2 for final project - "lab experiment"

For my final project, I'm giving students two options: 1) design and build
(in solder) a module (freely crossbreeding existing designs if they want),
and 2) doing a "lab experiment" kind of study, comparing many different
something-or-the-others, with a more detailed writeup.

I posted three ideas (again, the students are welcome to come up with
their own):

Anyone have any other "lab" type of ideas? (A two-student team already
grabbed the OTA study).

Here once again is the original final project instructions.

I'm also giving them an informal unlisted option 3, which is that some
student were really really really interested in turning some synth
circuits into stompbox effects that could run off of a 9 V supply.
