All,

The IT433 gate array is E-Mu's K-Chip, or keyboard scanner. It was
used in most E-Mu keyboards as well as the Emulator 4 series of samplers
for a front panel interface. It has facilities on-board to scanning and
velocity sensing of up to 88 keys on a keyboard, front panel button
scanning, delta rotary encoder scanning, and an integrated channel
pressure ADC. The mystery is no more. :-)

Best Regards,
