Funny you should mention repairing a scope.
I just finished fixing my "new" Tek468. I figure the time on fixing a scope
is worthwhile if its a decent scope and/or the problem is simple.
That HM303 looks to be fairly new ( still in production ). I'd think it
would be worth attempting a repair at least. Maybe even worth finding out
how much a professional repair would cost. If its $125 to get fixed, thats
not a bad deal for a 35mhz scope.
If you do poke around it yourself, I have to remind you that high voltage is
dangerous. Most of the scopes I work on have 30kv+ and if you arnt carefull
will disolve screwdrivers and bodily throw you across your workshop.
