Since the 'elongated holes' are an industry standard, which doepfer has
ignored in the interests of cheapness, you could do the same thing,
just find any small local metal work shop & have some aluminum drilled
& anodised at the local electroplaters.
For example, I found a 2 man business that makes (among other things)
custom fume extractors for kitchens, they were able to cut the aluminum
to size & drill round holes. But, when I wanted odd shaped cutouts, I had to
go to a much larger operation with a metal punch (and, for a particular size
rectangular led cutout that they didn't have in stock, it was $A 400 for the
tool..)
