Hi ,
Thanks for the feed back on the design labs midi kits and SE P5.
The problem with this P5 is that the Studio electronics side runs the
redesigned front panel ,memory and midi .I now think that all the SE
circuits are fine ,however at some stage all the midi (note on/off ,pitch
bend ,prog change etc ) functions have been 'spliced' into by a design
laboratories Pro 5 midi kit !.So even if I have a user manual for the SE P-5
I still can't work out how to set the midi channel ,turn pitch bend on/off
etc etc .As all midi related functions are now controlled by the Pro 5 midi
kit the memory and front panel are still run by the SE circuits emulating
the original SCI Prophet 5 rev 3.3 .
There is one black push button on the front panel ,which when held in for 2
seconds triggers one of the prophet 5's voices as a bleep .I think this is a
programming switch but I can't figure out how to enter the right code to
change the midi set ups.
Because the design labs Pro 5 midi kit is based on the Prologue midi to CV
converter which is a 4 voice box the SE P-5 thinks it is a 4 voice prophet 5
!.

Many thanks for the info that has been sent ,
James walker
