[sdiy] Oscillator and Midi Question

Hi all.

I have just finished a rough schematic for a wavetable oscillator based
around the Mega8 AVR from atmel.

(by the way, i apologise for the horrible website design )

its a rather rough one, there are still some values needing to be put in
and im fairly sure that the inverters for the midi interface aren't right,
so if anyone can see any glaring problems, please point them out.

Its based on Ken Stones Wavetable Oscillator (http://www.cgs.synth.net/ )
and also Jespers Poor mans DDS (http://www.myplace.nu/avr/minidds/index.htm).

But my main question is this, As its monophonic, what is the best way to
implement midi, as in, what is assumed to be the correct behaviour?

High note priority? Low note? last note pressed? if i release it should it
go back to the note before that if it still held down?

and should the gate retrigger if a new note is pressed while another is
held down or should it just stay high?

Anyway, any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Alwyn
