[sdiy] greetings / EFM sale / korg MS20 mods

greetings all, i'm new to this list!
just checking the EFM website and they still got some "BassAce" boards;
has anyone built one or used one? recommended?
also does anyone know some good mods for Korg MS20, mostly i want to add a
cv input for PW mod and also be able to ring modulate external signals.
also i read somewhere about replacing a plastic part of the power supply in
MS20s as they can melt and cause untold damage?!!
